What we store on your device

This page describes what GemRadar stores on your own device and why. It is deliberately short, because so is the list.

Needed to work

You cannot refuse these, because without them the app does not function. They do not ask for consent because they are strictly necessary for a service you requested yourself.

• Login session. A cookie from Supabase that keeps you signed in. Without it you would have to log in again on every page.
• Preferences. Your language, your theme and your text size, kept in your browser's storage so the app looks the same on your next visit.
• Display choices. Small things such as the chart type you picked on a stock page.

Only with your permission

• Usage measurement. If you agree, we store one randomly generated id on your device and send events to PostHog: which screens get opened, where people get stuck, which features get used. The data is held in the European Union (Frankfurt).

What we do not send with it: which stocks you look at, what you search for, what is on your watchlist, and what your paper trades are. That is your portfolio, and it does not belong in an analytics service.

You can change this at any time under Profile → Appearance. If you decline, we delete the id immediately and stop sending anything.

What we do not do

No advertising trackers, no social media pixels, no selling data on to third parties, and no profiles that follow you across other websites.
